Gelbvieh Cattle

Weyga's cattle herd started out as a 200-head commercial cow herd.  Then we started relying exclusively on Gelbvieh bulls for seedstock production.

Our maternal herd is now almost entirely Gelbvieh, but our animals are not registered purebreds.  We have chosen Gelbvieh as the basis for our herd for its growthy calves and its many maternal traits.

We also have a herd of Plains bison (American "buffalo") which is currently 43 animals strong.
Originally purchased as a group of 6 heifers and 6 bulls from Elk Island Park, the bloodlines have been refreshed every few years with the purchase of bulls from other producers.
We have handling facilities that make it possible for us to sell breeding stock to other producers.  Please e-mail us for more information.
